NorthLink Ferries currently operate 3 main freight routes – Lerwick to Aberdeen, Kirkwall to Aberdeen and Stromness to Scrabster. NorthLink provide freight customers with a reliable and cost effective way of transporting their cargoes. Their freight service is totally integrated with its passenger vessel service. Their specialist freight vessel, MV Hascosay, can deal with heavy and outsized ro-ro traffic, large livestock consignments and also hazardous cargoes. A second charter vessel covers livestock sailings in order to cope with peak demands.
