Silja Line carries about 5.4 million passengers every year and about 130,000 cargo units on its six ferries. Silja Cargo transports cargo units on Silja Line's large passenger ferries and SeaWind Line's RoPax ships that run on the Finland-Sweden route.

Silja Line guarantee the fast, reliable transport of trucks, trailers, containers, machines, factory cars and railway waggons. from port to port. Most of their vessels offer truck drivers a comfortable and private section for rest and relaxation.


Silja Line Drivers Club

On Board Drivers Service
The journey usually gives the drivers possibilities for rest and recreation. Most of Silja Line ships can offer separate Drivers' Clubs and saunas as well as peaceful cabin departments. The counterfoils on the driver's ticket entitle on most ships to a berth, sauna, food and coffee. They can also be used in other restaurants on the ship, but cannot be exchanged for cash.

Drivers Card
Drivers can also participate in special offers from Silja Line for frequent customers by getting a Drivers' Card. Applications for a DC-card can be made in their port offices.

Dangerous Goods - Transport
These are substances or articles that can cause damage to people, animals, the environment or materials. Based on its properties, the substance or article is given a Dangerous Goods class. United Nations regulations list nine different classes of dangerous goods. Based on the substance/articles properties, it can also be assigned a subsidiary risk. When loading dangerous goods you should always take any subsidiary risk into considerations. Transport of dangerous goods is regulated by national and international legislation.

Dangerous Goods - Shipping
Transport of dangerous goods is usually done in accordance with the IMDG-code. On their ships ms Sea Wind and ms Sky Wind (Stockholm-Turku) Silja can also offer transports carried out in accordance with the ADR/RID regulations. On the Stockholm-Helsinki line only dangerous cargo units that meet IMDG requirements can be transported.
